The GB and the anointed, a strange dodgy relationship

another recent thread about any disfellowshipped anointed, inspired me to bring up this topic.

has there ever been a case of an anointed getting disfellowshipped for doctrinal disagreements with the gb?

if this did occur then there are some interesting ramifications: are the non gb anointed really equal to the gb anointed?

1st..the GB has never had any light from God that I know of..I think Russell had some great things he learned but the GB...absolutely nothing that I know of...

Also..I started partaking after being a witness for 20, was a fulltime pioneer..and one elder laughed and 2 elders told me, that they were sure I wasn't.. I d'aed because they would never let me open my mouth to anyone about the new things I had learned..or I knew I'd be labeled an apostate..so fast my head would spin...and taken in the back room.. It wasn't worth it..so I d'aed.

The Memorial Head Counts

does anyone remember about how long it takes for the number of memorial attendees as well as the count of partakers to be announced to the public?

for the life of me i can not remember.

i am certain that those numbers are not held back until the yearbook.

The Thousand Years...

ok.. well was readin through rev.

today, and and rev 20:4-5 i sorta got confused when i read the bit in the bracets.. .

i thought.. that all the people would be resurrected during the thousand yrs not after?

Rev. 20:4 & 5 "Then I saw thrones; those who sat on them were entrusted with judgement. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness for Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshipped the beast or it's image nor had accepted it's mark on their foreheads or hands. They came to life and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were over. (This talking about being completely alive in God's eyes, another words, alive physically but not yet in the book of life.) This is the 1st ressurection.

So all the deserving people will be ressurected during the thousand years but only the 144,000 or the ones who conquer will be in the book of life.. the rest will have to wait for the final test at the end of the thousand years to be put in the book of life or considered alive in God's eyes.

When did Jesus return?

i know this has been talked about before but i still find it ...interesting.. if jesus did return in 1914(invisibly) why do the jw still observe passover.

was it not to be observed until he arrived?

maybe that is the new light jesus did not come in 1914 he is coming now, and that would explain why this may be the last memorial.. just a thought

i have always wondered from the time of being a child and being familiar with a few of the professed 144,000 remnant; just why is there no enlightenment coming from them?

the only enlightenment or new light is coming from the few in brooklyn, new york.

does not make sense to me.

Because if you are one of the 144,000, you aren't allowed to even think that you may recieve light. So even if God gave you some new . If you dared to acknowledge it, you would have to conceed it was demonism. Because they are taught, that if it doesn't come from the GB, it's demonism.

And another point...the GB has never had any new , just more unneccesary rules or digging themselves out of a previous mistake or a prophesy that turned out to be wrong..

the faithful and discreet slave....... who are they really?

i was asked.......... since i dont belive what the witlessness do.... who do i consider to be the faithful and discreet slave?

now im not ashamed to admit i havent quite figured that out yet, so my reply was, it could be any minister who truely looks out for their congregation.

so my question is this....... what and who do those scriptures represent?

Please explain: Faithful, Discreet & Slave

i am not trying to vent here, however i have somewhat of an internal dilema.

having been a very faithful, committed jw for many years, .

i do not understand how the (current) gb justifies applying the title fds .

Hello, I was a very, faithful witness until Sept. And here are some points I discovered.

1. The word 'governing body' is not found in the bible

2. The apostles in Jerusalem and older men were only (as far as we know) asked only one thing, and that was to settle the dispute of circumcism, after many years of going back and forth. The WT controls everything.

3. The groups of worshippers were in people's homes and had freedom of interpretation

4. We should have no one governing over us but Jesus. The slave was only supposed to give one another spiritual food.

5. The 1000 year reign is to happen, when he comes at the end of great tribulation and then we will have kings, and priests ruling over us.

Then think he came in 1914, but scholars say no. Br. Russell had some refreshing truths and that is how it got started.

When is Satan thrown out of heaven?

the jws, of course, claim this occurred in 1914, thus making the way for the new heavenly order with christ (michael) having won the battle and taking his place on the throne.. but what does revelation itself suggest as the timeframe for this battle?.

doesn't the society's version suggest that heaven was out of control until then--kind of like another earth?

Hey there, I think, Michael battling the devil, is a parallel account of him battling the governments. The devil gave it's power to the last government to rule. And Michael takes on the governments at Armaggedon. I also think the Armaggedon is the BEGINNING of the great Tribulation not the end. And I think the 'short period of time' is the great tribulation. I believe that the battle against the devil and throwing him from heaven, is Michael defaming him and conquering evil bringing him down in glory. I don't think that Satan is thrown out of the place where God lives and is on the vicinity of the earth.
